Experience it like you live there.
Unfortunately the creek water levels have gotten too low this season for kayaking for now. Minnehaha Creek is fed by both rain and the dam at Gray's Bay. The Minnehaha Creek Watershed District is releasing the minimum amount of water from the dam, so essentially we are left with just rain feeding the creek - which allows it to be kayakable for a day or two after a rain, but no more. This makes scheduling out for the remainder of the season difficult. Because this cycle will now likely continue through the end of the year, I encourage you to check back with me in the spring and early summer when the water levels are much higher - or after the next big rain. Sorry for the inconvenience. It is worth the wait! ~Tamara
